Have you ever been working with DellEMC VxRail support and they ask you to generate a VxRail log bundle or you get that generic reply from creating an R that requests logs? I thought I would take a quick moment and show everyone the quick and painless way to generate a quick log bundle in 6.7 vCenter leveraging 4.7 VxRail.

Go to cluster level > Configure > VxRail Troubleshooting

Create

Select the required logs. I find majority of the time VxRail Manager and iDRAC will be sufficient.
Once you select iDRAC it will bring up all the hosts in your cluster and you will want to select them all.

Generate
Now you just wait until the logs are gathered and zipped up into a file called:
VxRail_Support_Bundle_529bb0a5-49b5-b7c6-d0d0-5617b96dbfcf_2020-04-21_20_00_25.zip

Select the file and click download
Summary:
As you can see it is a quick and painless process but I will admit if you don’t know where to look you can waste a lot of time searching around. Once again, I hope y’all found this to be helpful.
